Our latest project shows what is possible for a complete swimming pool, hardscaping & landscaping in Moorestown, NJ, turning a challenging property into a modern family oasis. The yard had a significant grade increase, which we addressed by designing a stunning lap pool with an elevated beam wall. This wall not only retains the slope but also serves as a beautiful focal point. We veneered it with a saw-cut natural travertine stone, a material known for its durability and timeless elegance. Travertine is an excellent choice for pool areas because its porous nature helps it stay cool under the sun and provides a naturally slip-resistant surface, enhancing safety around the water.  

The pool itself is designed for both fitness and fun. Its long, linear shape is perfect for swimming laps, while a gracefully curved sun shelf provides a shallow area to relax or for small children to play safely. For the expansive pool terrace, we used Techo-Bloc interlocking pavers. We often recommend Techo-Bloc products because they are incredibly strong—stronger than poured concrete—and are engineered to withstand harsh weather, including freeze-thaw cycles. Their surface is slip-resistant, and they come in a variety of textures that beautifully mimic natural stone, providing a high-end look that connects the home’s deck to the poolside for sunbathing, dining, and entertaining.  

A successful project harmonizes the hardscape with soft, living elements. To complete this backyard retreat, we installed lush sod and carefully selected a variety of plantings to soften the stone, adding layers of texture and seasonal color. As evening approaches, a custom low-voltage lighting system brings the space to life. We placed lights to illuminate the patio and used spotlights to highlight key trees, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. This thoughtful approach to
